A saying in Arabic that translates to: "One day is like honey, another is like onions." Such is life! Idiomatic expressions and proverbs constitute an important part of speaking Arabic and can be heard frequently in daily interactions in Arabic among Arab people. Many use proverbs in their daily life to illuminate the various facets of the human condition. This is one of them, and it is usually said to lament a bad a day.
